The Rocket Motel has a charming retro vibe with very clean accommodations. Owners Don and Brenda are delightful and friendly. While the room was a bit small and lacked coffee makers, the inviting atmosphere and proximity to dining options made up for it. A lovely place to explore the Black Hills!

Perfect for couples seeking nostalgia
Loved how warm Don and Brenda were cute us into their little slice of the past. The room just had this retro vibe with red and white accents and was spotless, I mean if you can't appreciate good cleanliness then what are you even doing with your life?
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but worth every single penny.

Had an awesome group trip with friends! The rooms were spotless and super comfy. We totally enjoyed exploring Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park. Just a heads up, there’s no breakfast, but they always have good coffee and muffins available. For a retro vibe and friendly staff, this place is a must!
The only downside was the small room size, but we made it work. It wasn’t a deal-breaker for us!

Charming retro stay with cozy vibes
This was a delightful motel with a fun retro aesthetic. The room was clean, comfortable, and had great amenities like a microwave and refrigerator, which made our stay even better. The friendly staff were excellent, ensuring we felt welcomed and had everything we needed during our trip. However, I would have preferred a bit more temperature control in the room, as it was chilly at night.
